After upgrading through different cameras, experimenting with lenses, and accumulating a multitude of accessories, you have likely realised by now that the only way to truly improve your photography isn’t by acquiring the latest piece of technology. It is actually by consuming photography.
Seeing the work that others do is a powerful tool. It grants you the spark to experiment with new techniques, broadens your perspective on composition, and provides the vital motivation needed to take your camera out of its bag and create something fresh.
However, in our increasingly mobile-centric world, the way we consume images has fundamentally changed. Instagram has established itself as the leading platform for sharing photography and building beautiful communities, just as we have built ours at @fujixpassion. Yet, despite its undeniable strengths, the platform is far from perfect for deep creative consumption. Incredible photographs are routinely viewed on screens barely larger than six inches, and usually for just a few fleeting seconds before the next swipe takes over.
While the tactile experience of paper may have faded for many, there are still more rewarding and respectful ways to experience photography digitally. We wanted to build a medium that encourages us to slow down, examine every fine detail, study the framing, and reflect on the technical and creative decisions the artist made.
But beyond the pixels, what has been lost the most with the gradual disappearance of personal blogs is the written story accompanying each photograph—the context of the moment, the environment, and the thoughts and emotions the photographer experienced when pressing the shutter button. A strong photograph can easily stand on its own, but the story behind it truly becomes the icing on the cake.
That is precisely why it gives us enormous pleasure to announce the official release of our latest eBook: The Stories Behind The Images – Vol. II (2026 Edition).
Among tens of thousands of photos shared on Instagram with our community tag #fujixpassion, we, the editors, have personally curated every single image included. To ensure complete neutrality, the selection process was carried out entirely independently, without looking at the names or profiles behind the images. We aimed for a vast variety of photographic genres, giving a true snapshot of our global community’s talent.

We only discovered the exact details after the selected photographers submitted their technical breakdowns. When we compiled all the data, the results turned out to be so surprisingly interesting that we knew we had to share them. At the back of Vol. II, you will find a brand-new, exclusive appendix featuring a complete graphic and text breakdown of the cameras used across the entire volume.
